Cook until just tender 5 to 8 minutes. When water returns to the boil cook asparagus from 1 to 3 minutes depending on its size and your preference. Place asparagus in a large baking dish drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
Toss gently to mix.
Bring a large pan of salted water to the boil and cook the trimmed asparagus for about 2 mins until just cooked. Drain well in a colander. Cook the asparagus for 2 3 minutes or until bright green and just tender. The delicious sauce really makes this dish and you ll be left wanting more.
